Donald Trump and the Threat of North Korea

After scrolling through all of my social media accounts this past week, I elected to do something that you might find pretty rare for me.

We all know that I don’t really care for Donald Trump however, I keep reading a lot of comments from the mainstream media and individuals on social media, that indicate people feel that Trump is going to get the United States and all her glory into world war III.

These comments and suggestions are in response to Trump’s latest tangent about destroying North Korea, calling Kim-Jong-Un “Rocket Man.”

My favorite comment was just yesterday as I was up for a pre-work, workout at 4am, Sarah Huckabee Sanders went on air at FoxNews and responded to a question about how she felt about Trump referring to Kim-Jong-Un as “Rocket Man.”

She made some comment about Trump being a “Branding Genius.”

Now if you must know, I drink coffee a little dolled up during those early morning workouts (I wash the coffee down with a can of GoFast in the place of water), so I was forced to make the decision to choke the coffee down and risk coughing for a good 10 minutes because it’s hard to swallow and laugh, or spit the coffee out.

I elected to choke it down.

Trump is not a branding genius here, he stole someone else’s branding and repackaged it for his own purpose that particular day.

In any case, all this blaming Trump is nonsense, the reality is it would not matter one bit who was sitting in office right now, Kim-Jong-Un has been building weapons with the clear intent on destroying other parts of the world.

You can knock Trump all you want, it simply and point blank does not alter or change the fact that North Korea isn’t even his fault. It isn’t.

He isn’t even making it worse, it was already going to get worse regardless.

The fault goes all the way back to the Bush administration and even further back if you want to really dig up those old skeletons.

It is also the fault of other nations, in all reality all Trump is doing is simply attempting to manage the situation before it really gets out of hand.

Anyone sitting in office right now would be faced with the threat of North Korea, no matter what they did, said or how they responded to the threat.

It could be your grandmother, your mom, dad, sister, brother, uncle, Hillary Clinton, Obama, Bernie, the bum in the alley…

Name calling or diplomacy, either way Kim’s only way to respond is to attempt to goad us into starting a war.

You can try to sell it anyway that you’d like, it would not matter one single small or big, bit!

Kim-Jong-Un wants a war, and that man will do everything in his power to get that war.

North Korea is not Trump’s fault, the threat from North Korea was always inevitable.

The only suggestions that I would have for Trump would be, never trust your allies and stop dragging your feet here.

No more name calling, tweets, etc, it’s like watching my kids when they were little “Mom, she looked at me,’ ‘Mom he said I had a tail when I was born…”

If it were me, since Kim-Jong-Un is behaving like a child, I would treat him as such. I would let him know in no uncertain terms would I bother myself to respond to anything he does until he actually fires a missile at a country the could make land, let’s remember they can’t seem to do that quite yet.

In the meantime I would not respond to anything the man says, keep ordering sanctions and wait and watch.

You give a spoiled two-year old attention, they keep behaving badly because you give into the bad behaviors.

That is Trump’s only wrong doing here, he is responding to everything and he calls Kim names.

That other piece of advice, well in the world of politics never trust anyone, especially your allies. Even if you could, you can always find one or two within that allies court that are going to undermine them if for no other reason than, because some people just want to watch the world burn.

Case in point, it is widely believed that some of the technology used to create some of North Korea’s long range missiles came right out of Russia. However, in full disclosure, it’s 2017, the technology for building a a nuclear bomb is no longer considered leading edge, let alone rocket science.

Another more recent case in point, those long range missiles? They are being powered by a rare yet potent rocket fuel that American intelligence agencies believe initially came from China and Russia.

Even the best of allies have issues from within, you can never truly trust them.

At the end of the day, all of this blaming Trump for North Korea, it does actually strike me as a funny notion.

If anyone had paid attention many, many years ago, this writing was on the wall so very clearly, the threat from North Korea, was always going to happen eventually.
