FBI Seeks – Fearless Leader

That will not investigate the Trump Administration’s ties to Russia

Donald Trump-CrimeShop

The biggest question this week by far is whether or not Trump’s firing of James Comey has anything to do with the investigation into his administration’s ties to Russian political influence in the 2016 presidential election.

All kidding aside, the firing of James is not a surprise. I won’t go into the seemingly succulent and eerie undertones of Nixon here, I will say however it does seem a wee bit odd that James was fired now rather than several months ago.

I won’t even go into Jeff Sessions and his recusing himself from certain investigations, yet being the one to handle the firing of James.

I will however say this, yes James made huge and vast mistakes when it came to the Hillary Clinton email scandal he both allowed for and authorized the destruction of vital evidence in the case which should have never, ever happened.

On the other hand James was not a yes man, like the rest of the Trump administration, he actually pushed back and basically without saying it, let the current administration know that he had his job to do and would not allow for any outside influence.

Lastly, If a government official (in this case the director of the FBI), is clearly placed within the Executive Branch, that official serves at the pleasure of the President, and can be fired at will.

So with that, the hunt is on for a new director of the FBI.

In other words the hunt is on for a yes man, one perhaps that will neglect looking into Trump and his team’s ties to Russia prior to the 2016 presidential election.

FBI Director James Comey – finally takes his stand

US Federal Bureau of Investigation

Yesterday, FBI Director James Comey sent a three paragraph letter to Congress that said the FBI had uncovered new intel with regards to Hillary Clinton’s email scandal via an investigation into Anthony Weiner.

Ever since the announcement hit the media, seemingly crawling out of the woodwork and just about every corner are people who claim that James Comey is trying to mess with the election due to the timing of the letter to Congress, others claim that he is trying to save face, few even think that he’s lost it…

Reports hit the wire that he blatantly disregarded the DOJ by announcing the letter, blah, blah, blah.

Then on the other hand, this role reversal happened as well. Now Trump supporters who were once pretty much against the guy are digging him.

Everyone has an opinion, yet no one actually looks at the message that is so clearly sent. It’s absolutely mind boggling.

Director James Comey sent a message yesterday and it wasn’t in the letter that he sent to Congress.

Look, he never technically said that he would reopen the investigation into Clinton in his letter, he said that the FBI has become aware of some new emails, he only implied that he would investigate her, again and we all know that the DOJ pretty much tied his hands during the first investigation.

We all felt that he let his FBI down, he let his agents down, the public and law enforcement as a whole became tainted through his enabling someone other than himself to direct an investigation because they liked the suspect more than they liked the potential outcome of the investigation.

He allowed for himself to get caught up in politics and lost…that is not the James Comey that walked into the FBI.

So this letter comes as no surprise to me. I guarantee you, hands down without a doubt whatsoever, that his timing has nothing to do with the election.

His motives are simpler than that.

He lost a lot of respect through his investigation into Hillary Clinton and failing to file any charges once details of how the investigation was actually handled started hitting the news. He lost not only respect but I would imagine some of his dignity.

Yesterday may have been more a matter of him telling the powers that be, “do not to tell the Director of the FBI how to do his job, conduct an investigation and let a potential criminal go with no punishment whatsoever.” Which is what happened with the Clinton email scandal investigation in the first place.

He took an oath and I believe that his move was motivated by that, and only that.

If James Comey did not make this move because of the oath that he took, well then the only other logical reason to have made such a move is to be the guy that falls on the sword.

The martyr…

How many of you honestly believe either Trump or Clinton would keep James Comey around knowing that they cannot own him or his FBI?

Besides, do you really believe that this man is willing to work for the next administration regardless of who wins the election?

U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation – message to U.S. Government Leaders

Stop telling us how to investigate crime

Did Director James Comey damage the bureau’s reputation…permanently?

According to a release last week by the New York Post “Veteran FBI agents say FBI Director James Comey has permanently damaged the bureau’s reputation for uncompromising investigations with his “cowardly” whitewash of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information using an unauthorized private email server.”

Guessing veteran agents seem to feel that James failed, while James seems to feel that since he had career agents handle the investigation, if he failed it was because the agents failed somehow in the investigation.

The agents claim James tied the hands of investigators by agreeing to ground rules that agents have never heard of not to mention other “rules” that Hillary Clinton’s lawyers demanded?!?!?

Since when do lawyers get to call the shots with law enforcement in terms of investigations? Law enforcement may not get to ask all of the questions they’d like when someone has a lawyer but it has never truly stopped them from continuing on with investigating a possible crime.

As the tale is told, rather than insist upon the use of a grand jury so as to compel testimony and seize evidence, like what’s normally done in certain investigations,  James Comey allowed immunity for several key witnesses which also more or less happened to include potential targets.

More disturbing yet, those immunity agreements? Well they came with what veteran agents are calling “outrageous” side deals, some of which included preventing agents from searching for specific documents on a laptop that was in question.

That laptop was owned by Cheryl Mills, Hillary’s chief of staff. Furthermore James agreed to have Cheryl’s laptop destroyed after the FBI conducted its rather restricted search of it.

That ended up making the FBI an accomplice, yes an accomplice to the destruction of evidence technically speaking and it also prevented anyone else including congress the ability to look at it.

Let’s not forget multiple witnesses were immunized, they suffered from frequent and sudden lapses in memory, made claims that were both unsubstantiated and false. James even cut a deal to give Hillary a “voluntary” witness interview on a major holiday and allowed to let her ex-chief of staff sit in on the interview as a lawyer, even though she was also under investigation.

We all know how this tale ends.

The truth at the end of the day like it or not is that James Comey doesn’t take his marching orders from the general public nor does he take them from his own agents.

His direction comes from farther up the food chain. Sad but true.

Like many police officers that I know, often times they are pushed by DA’s to prosecute a case that officers may not be ready to turn over to the DA yet. They are urged to look for specific evidence and only that, often times missing key pieces of evidence that might prove someone’s innocence rather than guilt.

I debate whether or not James is the true responsible party for tainting the FBI’s precious reputation. The whole deal has the distinct stench of U.S. Government meddling from a way higher level than the Director of the FBI.

Additionally, without seeing the evidence we do not truly know if Hillary Clinton could have been prosecuted and if so for what exactly.

We know both she and her staff lied many times to the FBI during the investigation, she should have been charged at the very least with providing false information to the investigators just like any other law enforcement officer would do to any one of us citizens if we had we done the same.

If Hillary could not have been charged with more I’d like to know exactly why that is, what evidence led the investigators to that decision…but we’ll never know what that was because the investigation was actually led by someone other than a law enforcement officer and the evidence that pertained to the investigation was destroyed.

So what James Comey did, was play the political side of the coin, he led the team not as an investigator but a politician, a player, a cheat and that is what his agents are upset about.

James Comey would have served his post, his agents and the United States of America better had he stood his ground and investigated Hillary Clinton like the Director of the FBI, rather than give in to political pressure.

He let us all down.

That is what the public is upset out in terms of just how much our justice system is skewed and broken.

Not only is the public telling our Government we are sick of this but now, so are the very law enforcement officers tasked with investigating some of the most serious and major crimes in this country.

So while Trump promised should he become president that he would have Hillary prosecuted and she’d be in jail…sadly he can’t do that because the evidence has been destroyed that might have gotten him to that point.

It’s time that the U.S. Government, DA’s, politicians and the like butt the hell out of law enforcement’s job of investigating crimes.

Quite frankly the public is tired of it and well now so are veteran FBI agents.
