James Comey

The man a lot of people think caused the Trump presidency is now vowing to help end it. I don’t blame him, I mean you have to be pretty damn stupid to want to continue with more of the Trump show in 2020.

James-Comey-STop-Trump-CrimeShop

James Comey was never one to want to be thrust into the spotlight however since 2016 he has more often than not found himself squarely in it. He is actually doing quite well despite having been fired, he is actually making more money these days.

He is also not much of a fan of Donald Trump, nor is Trump of James. Yet James seems to have a calmness about him about it all. He has been watching Trump rip apart every single foundation that made this country and as with most of us, Trump and his ideals, his followers, well those are the things nightmares are made of. Sometimes, even daymares.

James Comey really doesn’t like having a Twitter account as media reports state, I doubt even Obama loves having one, but the reality is that people need and want them both to have Twitter accounts. Sometimes those of us little people need to be reminded of what real leadership is about so that we do not start to lose faith in a system that has been ravaged, pillaged, raped and torn apart by our current President.

James-Comey-CrimeShop

Despite the fact that many believe James Comey all but handed Trump the Presidency, James has a huge following. I include myself in that following. The reality is that Trump had already won the Presidency, many of us watched the numbers and wrote about it in the months and weeks leading up to the election. It was an inevitable given. James didn’t do that, I lived in Florida during the election, I heard and spoke with many of his supporters. This year I went to Pennsylvania and spoke to a different breed of his supporters, James Comey did not win him the election.

James Comey is still a very highly respected man within the FBI, some agents joined the FBI because of that man. When James tweets, it is often powerful and thought provoking.

Lately it’s been reported that he wants to help ensure that Trump does not see another 4 years in the White House which has been turned into a meth trailer park since Trump’s arrival.

Yet James is unsure of what to do, feeling helpless.

Well James, welcome to the club.

Trump’s base can be divided into two very clear types of individuals, those that do not want the same A-Typical politician type in office believing that career politicians are out of touch with the working class, they do not understand us or our needs etc.

trump-not-fit-for-office-crimeshop - Edited

The other half are more your white supremacist types. They also however, do not want a career politician in office for the same reason the other side doesn’t yet the white supremacists want to hold back women, blacks, hispanics, and take us back to something like the 1950’s era where white men rule.

We cannot change any of those individuals, we know that Trump’s base will ignore the truth even when it’s proven and still support him.

So we need to better understand them instead of simply labeling them and then we need to work those that are running against Trump.

Those are the people who need to change so that they can effectively change the mind of the voter and gain the trust of all of Trump’s base.

The other huge advantage for anyone running against Trump has is our younger generations and those that were born in mine. Our sheer numbers outnumber Trump’s base and the majority of us do not agree with his policies, his sexism, racism and we just want a mentally ill, unbalanced and unhinged man sitting in the Oval office.

The problem is, since Trump got into office people have lost faith in our voting system, younger generations do not fully understand it, how it works, much less how important it is to actually vote.

We also do not want another old white man in the Oval office, so sorry Joe and Bernie. Many have lost faith in our political world, law enforcement, pretty much that Make America Great Again slogan, is and has been anything but that.

Our Allies no longer trust us, we don’t even trust us.

So we need to work with those that are running against Trump, we need them to gain the confidence of the voter and its more than just promising to do this or that. For anyone running against Trump, when they say they are going to change something and promise that in a debate they need to back it up with a clear plan on how they can accomplish whatever it is.

It’s all so easy to say isn’t it?

The problem is that the world, the United States are split, we are split here, people are suffering and hurting in ways not a single politician running for office currently has even bothered to address let alone open his or her eyes to actually see.

Trump-destroys-U.S.-crimeshop

Because they do not understand it, Trump has capitalized on it, he has acknowledged it, forget what you see on CNN and hit one of his rallies, he knows the suffering, he speaks to it, he simply points the cause of it to things like race, immigration, strict EPA laws, holding the wealthy back, and the like.

He is clever, and he can speak to the suffering in the US in order to gain support. He knows the pain, he feels deeply the  pain and suffering in this country because he actually hears his supporters and can articulate what they are saying back to them in the form of promises that speak to his base. He can blame a problem on something like immigration, and make a promise thus gaining support.

donald-trump-drunk-af-crimeshop

No one currently running is doing that. They are gaining support off of hope and only that. That is not enough because Trump can take that in a matter of seconds.

So, James Comey what can any of us do here? We want to help and change it, the reality is that we are not running for office and Trump no matter how twisted and fucked up he truly is, he knows how to hear which is different from listening and he knows how to feed into what he hears.

Android Malware That Can Physically Damage Phones?

Currency Mining Malware and Your New Android Phone

iPhone-8-crimeshop

My dad used to make fun of me for shelling out the extra money for Apple anything, and while iPhone’s are not 100% malware or hacker proof, they are still the safest bet in town.

Reports are circling around town today about a fairly newer piece of malware affecting Android phones. The malware is a cryptocurrency miner that happens to be so aggressive in nature that it can actually cause physical damage to an Android phone.

Once your phone is infected the malware carries out quite a few malicious activities behind the scene such as but certainly not limited to:

Unending ad’s

Actually participating in DDoS attacks

Sending text messages to any number

Silently subscribing to paid services

And of course

Mining cryptocurrency

The malware is hidden ever so conveniently inside apps that are distributed through third party markets, browser ads, and sms based spam. The malware is called Trojan.AndroidOS.Loapi but has been given the nickname of “jack of all trades,” by researchers at Kaspersky Lab.

Android-malware-physically-damages-phones-crimeshop

After just two days of testing the malware in a lab researchers found that after it ran all of its dirty little deeds continuously it actually caused the phone’s battery to swell so much that it caused the cover to become deformed.

Of course the mining is not the only issue, then again neither is the swelling batteries one might encounter.

The malware also sends a number of prompts for users to assist it in obtaining admin permissions, once granted those highly sought after permissions the malware makes it pretty difficult for an infected device to install security apps that would otherwise “disinfect” the device.

It will subscribe the device to costly premium services pretty much all day long, sending codes in sms on its own to confirm those costly subscriptions and, whoever is on the other end of the attack, well those guys can use the infected phones to become part of DDoS attacks.

Lastly, it displays a constant stream of ads that annoy users to no end.

Researchers have never seen anything like this before and are unsure of its origins.

The good news is that no one seems to think that users are downloading it from Google Play.

Still the same, I think I’ll stick with my iPhone.

Iran Nuclear Deal Ending – and it Could Spell Disaster for America

nuclear+deal-iran-trump-crimeshop

Donald Trump vs the Iran Nuclear Deal

iran-nuclear-deal

The Iran Nuclear deal was signed by President Barack Obama, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China, back in 2015 it happens to lift international sanctions that were placed on Iran in return for a long-term suspension of its nuclear development program.

It is expected that Trump will announce this week not to certify the deal. According to analysts, if Trump does in fact elect to back out of the agreement it very well could derail billions of dollars in Western investment heading toward Iran and trigger European economic retaliation against U.S. businesses, which would include sanctions imposed upon the US.

Of course backing out of the deal would not be immediate because congress would have 60 days to reimpose sanctions however, analysts say that is pretty unlikely, so Trump’s decision would be left at that.

Trump does call the deal one of the worst deals ever made, and I am not sure I would argue with him on that front, however now is not the time to piss aimlessly into the wind here.

Europe has enjoyed trade with Iran since the agreement has been signed, it has proven fruitful for European countries. And take note of who it has been fruitful for, it has not been the US, so I can honestly see Trump’s point here.

All of that said, we’ve already addressed the potential sanction issue, we could also be faced with an even larger North Korean issue should we back out of the deal.

north-korea-nuclear-war-crimeshop

Ending the deal very well could upset any of our actual allies and it will for sure without a doubt whatsoever upset Iran, who may in turn just decide to crawl into bed with Kim Jong-Un and start planning that long sought after wedding, with kids later down the road.

And…what if Russia wants to make that twosome a threesome…

Russia-fake-social-media-crimeShop

So then we would be faced with not only an even bigger nuclear weapon issue,  potentially arming North Korea, we are also faced with one of the biggest cyberwar superpowers in the world potentially sleeping with North Korea.

Iran in case anyone has forgotten just so happens to have a cyber army that is a force to be reckoned with. These guys do not mess around, they don’t play at childish hacking attempts, they know exactly what they are doing and just how to do it.

The US to date couldn’t touch these guys if they wanted to.

Do we really want that whole mess right now?

It’s fair to look at it, it’s fair to say that the agreement sucks for America, I get that, but scratching it is not the right move as of today.

President Trump Hosts Ceremony Recognizing First Responders In The June 14 Congressional Baseball Shooting

One of Trump’s biggest achilles heels is that in part he wants to treat the US presidency as a business, his business. You cannot necessarily do that without alienating the entire world from your country.

This actually should be an exercise Donald Trump understands. I see this all of the time at work.

A large part of my job is centered around hiring people, inevitably every time I hire someone the first move they try to make is come in like wrecking ball and change everything.

That move is the last move anyone wants to make, while changing the front end takes care of some issues, it may end up creating larger potentially more dangerous issues on the back end.

Time, well rounded knowledge of each and every move you make, learning a product i.e. America, the world, how your decision affects others, respect (earned that is, having the title of President of the United States, does not just grant you that, from anyone), dignity, the ability to be a humble leader who looked at an agreement and does not feel that it is of a benefit to the US so it might warrant an ending or even better, a change, one that would be more of a benefit to the US is the way to go about the Iran nuclear deal.

In time, again, now is not that time.

Coming in like a bull in a china shop pissing itself whilst breaking all of that fine China is a poor excuse to end the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Time, Donald Trump is of the utmost essence here, do not, screw that up just yet.

Someone is testing ways to take down the internet – Worldwide

internet is down today-crime-shop.jpg

The question is who?

Last month Bruce Schneier noticed that someone is testing way to bring down the entire internet.

Bruce Schneier is a very well known and trusted security expert, the CTO of IBM’s Resilient and a fellow at Harvard’s Berkman Center, learned that companies who are responsible for the basic infrastructure of the internet were experiencing large scale attacks that were designed to test for each company’s defenses.

Bruce said that based off of the size of the attacks and the fact that they were considered such large scale attacks that only a state who has a large cyber-warfare unit could be responsible.

That put China and Russia are at the top of some lists but the reality is that other states are far equal if not more advanced than China and Russia. Israel has reportedly been growing more and more powerful in terms of having cyber brawn,  Iran is up and growing as well…

The biggest issue is that it is not truly possible to really tell what everyone else is doing at this juncture let alone, who really does have the largest cyber force or cyber forces in the world.

DDoS-Attack_the crime shop.jpg

The attacks were large DDoS attacks, which are such large amounts of data that they bring servers down because they overwhelm the server.

They were noticed because they escalated and were described as coming in slowly mounting waves, which then forced the companies to “demonstrate their defense capabilities for the attacker.”

Basically, once the attacker saw the defense capabilities it could potentially then allow for the attacker to find ways around those defenses.

life-without-internet_the_crime_shop

The growing concern is that whoever is responsible for the attacks may be planning an attack that could bring down the entire internet, email servers, top domains, governments and the like.

internet-on-off-switch-crime-shop

But, the internet as a whole does not have an actual on and off switch so it is a debate as to whether or not someone could actually shut the entire thing down worldwide.

Bruce reported that based off of the data he saw, it suggested China as behind the attacks, but again that has yet to truly be determined.

Other states should be considered because it’s usually those that you least suspect. The guys you aren’t really noticing because they were able to fly right under the radar.

The one’s everyone thinks is out of the running game in terms of a cyber force.

More than likely, the attacks were a very clear message to the world that someone is building a very powerful cyber force and it’s one that we need to pay attention to.

The problem is, we don’t know who it is at this stage, much less why.
