Comey’s Clever Tweets Getting Under Trump’s Skin
You have to hand it to former FBI Director James Comey here, he keeps subtly digging at Trump on Twitter by sharing some thoughtful, tasteful and rather passive aggressive hits at Trump.
Trump may be too inept to notice however, the shade James is tossing towards his former boss here.
And that shade, it’s pretty major, yet in a very clever and tasteful way, something Trump knows nothing about.
Although I did not always agree with how James worded things, or handled things during his time as the Director of the FBI, one thing I will always give him credit for was that he went above and beyond in the effort to try to bring communities and the police who are responsible for the safety in those respective communities together. He stepped in at a time when public and police tensions were at an all time high and managed to move things a step in the right direction.
Not that it lasted once Trump took office.
In his latest tweet, James quoted Winston Churchill, more than likely in direct response to Trump’s rather distasteful and disturbing anti-Muslim tweet earlier this week.
James seems to be stepping up to the twitter plate with something with subtle notes of major shade anytime that Trump tweets something utterly and truly ridiculous.
Which has to hurt someone with an ego the size of Trump’s.
We should be giving James Comey an award for the major burns here, but even if we don’t, he should keep it up.
